The mission of Untying Knots Counseling, PLLC is to provide compassionate, evidence-based mental health counseling services that empower individuals to improve their emotional well-being, develop healthy coping strategies, and achieve personal growth. Responsibilities:



The ideal candidate will provide counseling services across the lifespan.

-Engagement of the client and family system through rapport building, establishing trust, and clearly defining the reason for seeking services. 

-Assessment of needs through gathering comprehensive information about the client's situation, including personal history, presenting problems, strengths, and support systems through interviews, observation, and collateral contacts

-Treatment planning by collaboratively setting specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals with the client, and developing intervention strategies to address identified needs.

-Interventions: Implementing planned interventions, providing support, education, and necessary resources to help the client achieve their goals. 

 -Evaluation, Termination, or Referral. Regularly reviewing progress towards goals, making adjustments as needed, determining when to terminate services, and providing necessary referrals. 

-Complete necessary outcome measures on a routine basis to track progress. 

- Conduct individual, family, couples, and group counseling sessions with clients in a private practice setting. - Utilize various therapeutic modalities such as CBT, ERP, IFS, play therapy, sand tray, expressive arts, attachment, and more.  

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client progress with completion of notes within 72 hours. 

-Utilization of the Social Work Code of Ethics to guide clinical practice. 

Skills:

- Knowledge of personality theories, techniques, and interventions. - Ability to assess and diagnose mental health disorders through the use of the most current DSM (DSM-5 TR). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively with diverse groups across the lifespan. 

-Balancing holistic and medical models of care. 

- Knowledge of child development, special education practices, and strategies for working with neurodivergent individuals and their families.

-Recognition of cultural diversity and the influence of cultural identity.

Requirements: 

LMSW

Job Type: Full-time, part-time

-Caseload: maintain a minimum caseload of 10-20 clients per week.
